8월부터 시행되는 '정당현수막 설치·관리 가이드라인'은 정당현수막에 의한 안전사고를 방지하기 위해 만들어졌습니다. 이 가이드라인은 어린이, 노인, 장애인 보호구역에 정당현수막 설치를 금지하며, 2m 이하 높이에도 설치를 제한하는 등 안전에 최대한 신경쓰는 내용으로 구성되어 있습니다. 이 가이드라인의 적용에 따라 정당활동의 자유와 쾌적한 생활환경이 조화롭게 유지될 수 있습니다. 하지만 이를 위해서는 정당과 지자체의 적극적인 협조가 필요합니다. 관계기관과 함께 노력해 나가며, 정당현수막 설치로 인한 안전사고 예방에 대한 계획적인 대책을 마련할 필요가 있습니다. 이 가이드라인을 정비하기 위해 지방자치단체뿐만 아니라 선거관리위원회 및 47개 중앙당의 의견수렴을 거쳐 충분한 공감대 형성이 이뤄졌습니다. 이를 통해 긍정적인 측면에서 정당현수막 설치의 안전성을 높일 수 있는 대책이 마련되었습니다. 무엇보다도 이 가이드라인이 시행되면서, 어린이, 노인, 장애인 등 보호 대상자들에 대한 사랑과 배려가 더욱 커질 것으로 기대됩니다.
